2010 Fire Prevention Open House

(Georgetown October 7, 2010) – Hundreds of kids, moms, dads, and grandparents turned out for the Fire Department’s annual Open House tonight.

 

Many of the children participated in games, coloring and other activities for Fire Prevention Week.

 

Fire Chief Joey Tanner said he was very pleased with the turnout,  “We are very happy to open our doors to the community so they can see what we do, the equipment we use and understand and respect fire.”  Chief Tanner said booths from the department, the City Police Department, The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Department and the Georgetown County Fire and EMS department shared safety messages with everyone.

 

A number of sponsors were on hand to provide refreshments to the crowd.  They included Serve Pro; A&I Fire Restoration, FSA and Beef O’Brady’s of Georgetown.
