January 7, 2012 - In honor and memory of Private First Class Justin M. Whitmire of Simpsonville who was killed in Afghanistan on December 27th.
December 28, 2011 - In honor and memory of Georgetown City Firefighter Willie E. Linen December 7, 2011 - In honor of the many thousands of U.S. military men and women who were killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, 70 years ago today. September 16, 2011 - POW/MIA Recognition Day September 11, 2011 - In honor and memory of those killed during the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001 in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania. August 19, 2011 - In honor and memory of Lancaster County Fire Chief Dennis J. Cauthen who died after responding to a house fire on Tuesday August 16, 2011. August 16, 2011 - In honor and memory of Col. Charles P. Murray, Jr. World War II Veteran and Medal of Honor recipient who passed away on August 12 at the age of 89. August 4, 2011 - In honor and memory of the honorable United States District Judge Matthew J. Perry. July 17, 2011 - In honor and memory of Laurens County Sheriff’s Deputy Roger Dale Rice, Jr. who died in the line of duty. July 14, 2011 - In honor and memory of Staff Sergeant Thomas J. “TJ” Dudley of Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, NC; formerly of Fort Mill, SC. Sgt. Dudley will killed during combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan on July 7, 2011. July 11, 2011 - In honor and memory of Gunnery Sergeant Ralph E. Pate, Jr. of Mullins, SC who died June 26 while conducting combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. June 30, 2011– in honor and memory of Sergeant First Class Alvin A. Boatright of Lodge, South Carolina who died on June 18, 2011 in Uruzgan Province, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. June 23, 2011 - in honor and memory of Assistant Fire Chief Jesse E. West III of the Startex Fire Department in Wellford, South Carolina. June 18, 2011 - In memory of the nine Charleston firefighters who died in the line of duty fighting the Sofa Super Store fire of June 18, 2007 May 30, 2011 - in honor of PFC Cheziray Pressley of Charleston on the day of his funeral, who died on May 16 of wounds he suffered in an earlier attack on his unit in Afghanistan. May 30, 2011 - Memorial Day 2011 - in honor of all of our military service men and women, current and past, for their devoted dedication to duty. March 19, 2011 in honor of Senior Airman Nicholas J. Alden of Williamston, South Carolina on the day of his funeral who was killed in Germany in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. March 18, 2011 in honor of PFC Kalin C. Johnson of Lexington SC who was killed in Kandahar province, Afghanistan while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom March 15, 2011 - In memory of Army Corporal Frank W. Buckles, the last surviving American veteran of World War I February 28, 2011 - In honor of Sergeant Lashawn D. Evans of Columbia who died while serving in Iraq. February 12, 2011 - In honor and memory of Deputy George Mapps, Sr. of the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Department on the day of his funeral service. January 26, 2011 - In honor of Corporal Charles R. Nesbitt, Jr. of the Sumter City Police Department on the day of his funeral service. January 3, 2011 - In memory and honor of South Carolina Businessman Mr. Roger Milliken on the day of his funeral.

December 7, 2010 - In memory and honor of South Carolina State House of Representatives Member Cathy B. Harvin (Clarendon) who’s funeral is today. December 7, 2010 - In honor of the 69th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor and in memory of those that made the supreme sacrifice for their country and those who survived the attack on December 7, 1941. November 19, 2010 - The funeral of and in honor and memory of Senior Airman Andrew S. Bubacz of Dalzell, SC, killed in the line of duty in Afghanistan November 17, 2010 - In honor and memory of Columbia-Richland Fire Fighter Chance Hyatt Zobel of Irmo who was killed in the line of duty, fighting fire, on November 13, 2010. November 11, 2010 - In Memory and Honor - 2010 Veteran’s Day July 20, 2010 - In honor of U.S. Army Captain Michael P. Cassidy’s funeral at Arlington National Cemetery. Captain Cassidy, who was from Simpsonville, was killed in the line of duty in Iraq. June 18, 2010 - In memory of the nine Charleston firefighters who died in the line of duty fighting the Sofa Super Store fire of June 18, 2007 March 17, 2010 - To honor the memory of Army Sgt. August 26 - 30, 2009 - In Memory of United States Senator Edward M. Kennedy June 18, 2009 - In memory of the nine Charleston firefighters who died in the line of duty fighting the Sofa Super Store fire of June 18, 2007.

November 11, 2007 - In Memory and Honor - 2007 Veteran’s Day October 30, 2007 - Funeral services of South Carolina National Guard Sgt. Edward O. Philpot of Latta who was killed in the line of duty in Afghanistan. June 19, 2007 - In honor and memory of nine City of Charleston firefighters who died in a catastrophic fire at the Sofa Super Store on the Savannah Highway. Flags at both stations will fly at Half Staff until sunset on the day of the last funeral. June 2, 2007 - Funeral services of Marine Lance Corporal David P. Lindsay of Spartanburg. May 2, 2007 - South Carolina Law Enforcement Memorial day, a day to honor all law enforcement officers who died in 2006. April 24, 2007 - Funeral services for former South Carolina Chief Justice Bruce Littlejohn April 17, 2007 - In honor and memory of the victims of the shooting on the Virginia Tech Campus on April 16, 2007. Flags will remain at half staff through Sunset Sunday April 22, 2007. March 3, 2007 - Funeral services for Spartanburg Deputy Sheriff Kevin Carper who was killed in the line of duty.
