March 4, 2006 - Department Volunteers complete a rigorous driver training program. Students learned driving regulations and state law, braking and turning skills, as well as backing and positioning the truck at emergency scenes. Each driver who completed the 24 hour program will spend another 10 to 20 hours practice driving before taking a check ride for a final driver certification. |
