April Showers bring May Promotions

May 22, 2006 - Georgetown City Fire Department Officials announced a number of promotions today. 

Fire Chief Joey Tanner said, "It is with tremendous pleasure that I announce that the following promotions have been made: Fire Marshal Michael Morris to Battalion Chief A-shift, Lieutenant David Holcombe to Fire Marshal, Firefighter Kenneth Lang to Lieutenant B-shift, and  Firefighter Shane Singletary to Lieutenant C-shift.

Please congratulate each of these fine Officers and help them in any way that you can, as they transition over to there new positions within our Department."

Lang and Singletary will be filling vacated shift lieutenant positions under the command of Battalion Chief Pack and Battalion Chief Anderson, respectively.

Holcombe began his fire service career in the department in October of 1995.  He was promoted to Lieutenant in July of 2000.  Lang first came aboard in March of 2001 and Singletary joined the department in December of 2002
