December 23, 2005 - Members of the Georgetown City Fire Department, along with Santa and Fire Pup visited children at Georgetown Memorial early the day before Christmas Eve. The frolicking group bestowed Christmas cheer on nine children who were in the hospital. They also visited with a number of nurses and staff during their trip and patients in the Emergency Room. This is about the tenth straight year that the fire department has visited the children's floor at Christmas. Santa sometimes is too busy to join us but this was the first year for Mrs. Claus to visit and the children enjoyed her company. |
