January 26, 2006 - Chief Joey Tanner administered the Oath of Office to the first honor guard organized in the Department. The honor guard is charged with the presentation of colors at various events and assisting with funerals. The guard will be presenting the colors and participating in the Memorial service for the SC State Fire Chiefs Association annual conference in October. They are also presenting the colors in this years African American History Parade, IP Classic, Georgetown High's Varsity Softball season opener and the Georgetown County Recreation Departments Jamboree Parade. |
