Nine line officers direct the daily operations of their shifts. Each of the three department shifts is commanded by the shift captain and is assisted by two shift lieutenants.
Shift officers are charged with the responsibility of duty assignments, inspections, pre-fire planning, public education, fire suppression, rescue and basically any other type of call occurring during their duty shift. |
